My Amazingly Inexpensive Book Trailer and Hey, We're Up and Running!
I finally know how to use this blog! I hope. I've released comments and commented back... hopefully people haven't forgotten about this site while I waited.
I wanted to post my book trailer. My friends and family (mostly family, who are the friends I feel most capable of leaning upon) helped me put this together. Music arranged by me (song is Pioneer Lullaby from Sabbath Song II, put out by Jackman Music and approved for this trailer.) Instrumentalists, vocalist, and actors are all family. Except for the horseback riders, that was a civil war reenactment. The narrator is a woman from my sister's neighborhood who is a native French speaker. WE borrowed the camera from BYU Idaho and another from my brother-in-law, the costumes were DI or rented from BYU Idaho, the scenery is mostly from around where I live, except for that last scene (in front of Squaw Peak--provo obviously).
Altogether, this book trailer cost about $200 to put together. The biggest expense was the chest, which I had to buy, as nobody could lend me one that looked authentic enough.
I was quite pleased with how it turned out, considering I had to learn two different kinds of software and it's my first one.
