Posting my childhood

In my writer bios, I have frequently included the fact that my childhood journals are littered with stories and poems. Lately, I have been going back through these old writings of mine and I've been thinking that my friends and family might enjoy some of them.

I'm going to start posting "archival writings", including my age at the time I wrote them.

A warning: a lot of my stories, especially when I was a teenager, were romances. There's some kissing now and then. Funny, because as an adolescent and teenager I cringed whenever a movie had kissing in it.

I wonder, in posting these, if I'm betraying the girl that was me before, because she would have been horrified at the thought that her poems and stories would be published and possibly chuckled at. But ultimately I think that she would be thrilled that a published author might find something redeeming in what she wrote, and would want to share.

If you read them, you're allowed to laugh.I myself was weeping with laughter over some of them. But in others, I hope you see my heart.
