Published...

So,

I got an offer for my book.

!!!!

I can't quite believe it. First novel... first time published... honestly, I know it won't be the most fun thing in the world when it comes right down to it. I know they'll want me to change stuff, and it will be hard.

But I am excited. Oh my word. There are moments when I wonder if I'm delusional. But well... I guess all the hard work has paid off. All the research and rewrites, the critique group. The one page torture (query and plot summaries.) We're on our way, me and my story.

The release date I have been given is April of 2012. Cedar Fort will be my publisher and for now, the tenative title is Lightning Tree. On my menu up there, it's called "Maggie's Little War," but who knows what the title will end up being, anyway.

Well, I just hope now to keep this up. One book on the way to being published... I want to find homes for my others stories too, and poetry. So I've been plugging away at my fantasy novel, and writing and rewriting many poems, and collecting ideas for future poems. Fire in the Pasture is due out very soon. When it's available on Amazon, I will link to it here.
